Antelope Island Stampede Festival
The Antelope Island Stampede Festival is in its seventh year, and it has morphed from a hot-air-balloon festival to a balloon-kite-BMX-paraglider-skydiver-music festival. America’s professional kite flyers have adopted the Stampede as one of their favorite venues for displaying their colorful creations, and as a great venue to share their talents with one another and with the audience. In fact iQuad – a kite performance group – has chosen this event as their swan-song after many years of traveling the world and displaying their talents. You may never see anything like them again. Local groups play music nearly all day long, and dozens of food and craft vendors are there to satisfy appetites. There are plenty of activities for kids from a “bouncy land” to the state-park-sponsored kid’s tent, a small train, bucking bronco and other activities. Come join the fun over Labor Day weekend!
