The game is the first MLB vs. MLB exhibition contest held in Salt Lake since the mid-1960s and marks the first appearance by a major league team in the city since the Salt Lake Buzz faced the Minnesota Twins in an exhibition matchup in 1999.
“Since my father purchased the Salt Lake franchise in 2005, our organization has been committed to offering the Salt Lake community a first-class baseball experience,” said Greg Miller, CEO of Larry H. We are proud to now feature the Rockies and Mariners in exhibition play.”
Open batting practice times will be announced at a future date.

Replete with All-Stars, Silver Sluggers and Gold Glove winners, both clubs will make their final preparations for the 2013 season at Spring Mobile Ballpark before opening the regular season two days later on April 1. Colorado infielder Troy Tulowitzki is a two-time All-Star and two-time Gold Glove winner, while first baseman Todd Helton is a five-time All-Star and four-time Silver Slugger.
